Dances, being nerds, and just living life :)

In the past two weeks, Catharine and I have gone to two dances!  The first one was the nerd dance, which I already posted about.  This dance was a tri-area dance (which means it was a Helaman, Heritage, and Wyview dance).
Aubrey, Kelsi, Chastyn, and Catharine! :)
It was HUGE.  SOOOOOOO many people and it was soooooo hot!  I danced near the door which helped a little because it had just snowed that day and so it was nice and cold out compared to the hot, muggy, and sweaty inside.  The theme for the dance was "Your favorite 90's TV character".  I didn't know what to do for it so I just made myself look kinda weird (even tho it's a normal outfit for me...haha) :)
Catharine was Fran the Nanny...I dunno who it is still, but she looked good! :)
Then the other night while Catharine and I were doing our MMBio homework, we decided to put on our newly bought chemistry goggles! :) We like looking like nerds.
Catharine and I also went hot tubbing the other night at University Villa with Jeff, Kyle, Colby, Stephen, and another guy which I forget his name.  It was pretty fun until Kyle's friend, Victoria, played a prank on us and had one of her friends tell us we weren't allowed to be there that late and made us get out and change.  By the time we found out Victoria was behind it we didn't want to get back out of our now wet clothes, so we just went and played games inside the club house. :) it was fun. :)
Last night I made orange white chocolate chip cookies and I made myself some orange chicken and rice for dinner!  I was being a pro chef last night with the apron mom made me...while eating the cookie dough too... hehe :)
While walking home in the rain Thursday, this guy started talking to me!  His name is Josh.  I got his number today!  Woot!  That's happened twice for me now where I talk to the guy for just a little bit and then I get their number soon after!  hahaha! :)

I made the cookies yesterday and they were super duper amazing! :) Definitely one of my newest favorites!  Jeff and Stephen came over yesterday and tried them - they said they were grand.  So if guys like the cookies, that means they are pretty good, eh?? :)

Once Upon a Time...in a Land of Hicks and Farmers

So my roommate and I wrote a story.
About our other roommate's dramatic love life.
Then we made it into a movie Sunday night (we were filming at like midnight!) :)
I finished editing it Wednesday night (finished at 2:30am).
It pretty much just shows how crazy we really are here...but it is da best movie eva! :)

Short summary so you aren't totally befuddled:
George Strait falls in love with a cute little blonde only to be shot in a duel boy Cowboy Jens.  Cowboy Jens takes the cute little blonde and runs off to Vegas (or somewhere with lots of gambling problems) only to return 18 weeks later to scam some money out of the hicks and farmers in shanty town.
George Strait, when shot, was only shot in the shoulder.  So he wasn't dead (Cowboy Jens has bad aim...).  But when falling to the ground, he received a concussion, which resulted in a lapse of judgement in thinking that he was now in love with Carrie Underwood, and carries her off into the sunset.
After 18 weeks, George also returns to shanty town where he meets up with Cowboy Jens again and sees the cute little blonde, making him remember his true feelings for her and forgets about Carrie.  And....you have to watch the movie to see how it ends. :)

It's about 10 minutes long, so make sure you have enough time to watch it ALL the way!! :)  It's grand.  I hope you like it! :)

P is for PARTY!! :)

For the past two nights I have partied it hard core!  haha okay, the first night wasn't very much of a party, but it was still fun!  Last night was the REAL party! ;)
So Thursday night, my friend Kyle invited me and my roommates to go disco skating with them!  For only $2!  Twas a good deal for getting to skate for an hour and a half!  They were the legit 4-wheeled old school skates!  It was awesome!  I'm not very good at skating with them, but I managed not to fall!!  It turned out that it was Jeff's birthday too!  So we turned the trip into a birthday party kinda.  It was a blast! :)
Then last night at 8pm, Wyview had a nerd dance!!  Since Marissa had gone home for the weekend, it was just me and Catharine that went.  We got there and there were only like 10 people there.  But soon enough, the room was PACKED and me and Catharine had to dance by the food table! (which wasn't a bad thing...I just gained a few pounds is all...) ;)  I got to dance with Jeff on one of the slow songs, and it was so much fun!  He twirled me like 5 or 12 times ;) and then also dipped me at the end!  I've never been dipped before!  It was a blast! :)
Around 10:30 we left the dance to go to the canyon to build a bonfire.  It was SOOO COLD up there!  I stayed in Jeff's car and talked with him and Stephan and Catharine most of the time!  We didn't get out until the fire was actually started.  Then since there were so many people crowding the fire, we figured the car would be warmer so we went back in there and talked again.  Finally the crowd soon diminished and peeps went home.  So we got out and went and stood at the fire, only to be suffocated by the smoke.  But we found some chocolate bars from the smores so we ate some of those :)
Around 1:30am, after the fire was dead, we all headed to Denny's for a midnight meal.  We got there around 2am and were sitting, talking, and eating until 4am!  Because I had no money on me, I just got a water and drank that the whole time.  I didn't even finish the cup!  I only drank half of it.  It was weird.  Jeff was kind enough to let me have some of his puppies.  So I shared a basket of puppies with Jeff. :)
I didn't get home until 4am  last  this morning!  It was SOOOO much FUN!!!! :)  Catharine and I talked for about an hour after we got home, telling each other our stories since she was sitting on the other side of the room at Denny's and had quite some hilarious stories! :)  We didn't get to bed until 5am.  I was soo pooped!
And I couldn't even sleep in that long.  I woke up this morning around 9:45.  I guess that's the latest I've ever slept, but still...I only got like 5 hours of sleep.  I hope I don't die tonight at work!
Nevertheless.  Last night was one of the best nights eva and so much fun! :))

School is back in progress

School started Wednesday.  I already have bucket loads of reading and homework.  Joyous.
BUT I went food shopping the other day!  I only went shopping like twice last semester..so this is a big thing. ;)  and guess what.  I bought VEGETABLES!!  Weird huh!?  :) I bought broccoli, carrots, and salad.  My mom would be so proud of me. ;)
Since I went shopping, I was actually able to make myself a decent breakfast besides just peaches in a bowl or cereal or something.  I made eggs, toast, and had grapes.  Mmmm it was good. :)
Tonight I am going to make ORANGE CHICKEN!!!!!!  I am so excited to make it!!  :)  I love cooking.  And I finally have somewhat more time to cook this semester! (mainly because my classes don't start too early and I need breaks during homework.)
Yesterday my roommates and I went to the Mens BYU Basketball game!  That was fun!  And had a GRAND ending!!  We totally dominated...however I don't remember the score.  It was fun :)
Last night my friend Kyle invited me and my roommates over to his apartment for a dance party.  It was the coolest dance party eva!!  (and also my first...but still!)  They had huge speakers, a disco ball, flashing lights, a fog machine, a HUGE bag of popcorn, home made rootbeer, and more flashing lights.  It was epic and so much fun!  There were a ton of people that came!! haha I didn't think that many people could fit into a Wyview living room!!!  We danced the night away for an hour and a half.  I was pooped by the time it was over.  And right at the end, a girl fainted...not sure how or anything.  She's okay tho now.  It was crazy.
Welp, that's all folks!! :)
(p.s. Who says "That's all folks!" in Looney Tunes?? Is it the pig or the bunny??)
